I am a journalism all-rounder with a keen story sense, an engaging writing style, strong interviewing skills and extensive editing experience. I like finding stories and investigating unique perspectives through listening and questioning.
I enjoy creating and curating truthful, constructive, clear and memorable storytelling combining the crafts of writing, photography, video and audio.
The importance of understanding science and connecting to nature underpins my work, the human condition and our future. Reporting on the environment requires interacting with grass-roots communities and thinking independently.
SCUBA diving is my personal and professional passion - as a dive instructor, underwater guide and explorer with NAI'A, a dive ecotourism business in Fiji.
I publish The Spark, an independent local news service and subscriber email newsletter in my home region of the Shoalhaven in Australia.
